Terms and Conditions
By entering, entrants agree to the following terms and conditions:

The Race is organised by Blaydon Harrier and AC under UKA laws (UKA Road Race Licence number 2023-45932).

All applicable rules stated in UKA Rules For Competition effective 01/04/2020 apply.

Lads and Lasses should be 16 years or over on 09/06/2024.

The official race charity is Metro Radio’s Cash for Kids. Registered Charity No 1122062. www.cashforkids.uk.com/

The course is unsuitable for prams and pushchairs. The course is also unsuitable for wheelchair competitors but a special arrangement may be possible by contacting the Race Organiser prior to entries opening.

You are not permitted pets or animals; or any other item that could potentially inhibit the flow or safety of other participants or which we, in our reasonable opinion, deem may cause danger or risk of danger to you or other participants.

The Race Organisers reserve the right to make additions, changes, or clarifications to the event or these rules without prior notice to entrants. The race organisers will endeavour to advise entrants of any rule change prior to the race, but any such change shall be considered binding upon all entrants whether or not an entrant has received notice of the change prior to the race.

All rules are subject to interpretation by the Race Organiser. All decisions of the Race Organisers are final.

Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. In the event of cancellation of the event we will have no responsibility for any costs incurred as a result of cancellation including any travel or accommodation costs.

The race organisers reserve the right to delay, postpone, cancel, or not officially time the race in the event of adverse weather conditions. The determination of what constitutes adverse weather conditions is reserved solely to the Race Organiser.

Each entrant accepts that the organisers of The Blaydon Race will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, costs or expenses which may arise in consequence of their participation in this event.

Participants must not compete in the race if they are not in good health and will compete at their own risk.

All entrants permit any race photos or videos to be used for promotional and/or news reporting purposes

Entrants requiring a replacement race pack (due to an incorrect address provided at entry), will be charged up to £5 for the cost of an additional race number, chip, letter, envelope, admin and postage.

All entry fees are non-refundable and may not be deferred towards a future event.

Applicants who have not received their Number by 16th May should contact the race organiser immediately.

Race Numbers must only be worn by original entrants and impersonators should be aware that a race video is available to organisers and that offenders will not be allowed to compete in any future The Blaydon Race

All entrants must wear their assigned number, clearly and visibly on the front of their torso during the race.

All entrants must complete the medical emergency information on the back of their bib number.

Participants must be capable of completing the full distance, start line to finish line. The Blaydon Race is a road race run under UK Athletics rules and not a sponsored walk; we will not accept entries from people who intend to walk.

On race day participants must follow all instructions given from event officials, police, fire and ambulance operatives throughout the duration of the event.

Blaydon Harrier and AC retain the right to refuse entry to anyone.

Failure to follow event rules/event official’s instruction may result in disqualification, loss of prize money and removal from official results.

Violation of any of the rules indicated herein may result in disqualification of any entrant for this and/or future events. The decision of the race organisers is final.

Entrants agree that the personal information relating to them can be stored, used by us and our event partners in connection with the organisation, staging and administration of the event.

In accordance with UKA Rules (see RULE T55 (240) S 5) and for safety reasons, headphones are not permitted to be worn during the race. Refusal to remove such an item when asked by an event official may result in disqualification.
