2026 Entries
Entries for the 44th Blaydon Race in 2026 will open at 07:00 on the 6th February 2026. You will be able to enter the ballot until 10:00 on the 11th February 2026.

Those lucky enough to be successful will be notified and payment taken on the 12th February 2026. Sign up to receive Race Updates to be the first to know what's gannin on.


Transfers
Divvent worry if ye gan an hurt yasel, ye can pass yer place in the race to a fellow runner. You will be able to transfer your number  between 08:00 on the 26th May and 20:00 on the 2nd June, by accessing the Participant Dashboard.

 

You must use this official channel so we can capture the new emergency contact details, and ensure our numerous prize categories are not skewed. We've placed this transfer window as late as we reasonably can; runners will be responsible for physically handing their number over.

 

Unofficial transfers will lead to both parties being disqualified from this and subsequent races.

 
 

Elite Entry
For those at the pointy end, entries are strictly by invitation only an' gan te the first 10 lads an' 10 lasses from the preceding year's race.

 

A limited number of elite entries will be available on request until 31/03/2026. To qualify, athletes must have recorded a 10k time under 30:30 (male) or under 36:00 (female) at a UKA licensed race held within the North East region during the past 12 months. At the discretion of the Race Organiser.
