Blaydon Harrier and Athletics Club is buzzing to announce the return of the Junior Blaydon Race , proudly sponsored by Project Groundwater Northumbria !  The event will take place on Tuesday 9th June 2026 , ahead of the main Blaydon Race. 🌿  Location:  Shibdon Road Nature Reserve, Blaydon 🌿 Surface:  Multi-terrain! Race Categories: 🔹 1 Mile  – Ages 8–11 (17:30 start) 🔹 5K  – Ages 12–15 (17:50 start) Each junior racer will receive: 🏅 Unique Junior Blaydon Race 2026 finish

Didn’t get a place to run The Blaydon Race - you can still be part of this historic event by volunteering and cheering them on as they gan alang the Scotswood Road. The Blaydon Race relies on the support from the local community and volunteers to run safely and smoothly on the day. To run the event, we need more than 150 volunteers.
